An investigation of the knowledge exchange practices of the end-users of sustainability research. This report seeks to understand the knowledge landscape amongst end-users of urban sustainability research. 40 semi-structured interviews were conducted with urban sustainability practitioners and policy makers to inform the findings. |

SUE Success Stories
The first of a series of case studies, highlighting instances where the SUE consortia have successfully impacted upon the world beyond academia. These case studies show that their dissemination and engagement efforts are yielding significant benefits, both for the researchers and for sustainability practitioners, as well as promoting environmental sustainability throughout the UK and beyond.
SUE Success Story 2 : Urban Futures This report examines how Urban Futures' close involvement with steering group partners – specifically the Environment Agency and environmental consultants CH2M HILL – led to the uptake and adaptation of the project's outputs. |

Understanding KT through Best Practice Maps
KT on the InSITU Project This report examines how dissemination was successfully conducted on the InSITU project, a SUE PLUS project. The report shows how stakeholders interacted through a map of communication links. The study produced lessons regarding KT which are applicable to other research projects in the Sustainable urban Environment. |

REAP and City Car Club Case Studies This report investigates the KT lessons which can be drawn from successful engagement projects outside the SUE Programme. The study focuses on two case studies from the sustainable development field: REAP, a carbon footing tool developed by the Stockholm Environmental Institute – York and the establishment of the first city car club in the UK. |

ISSUES Workshop for KT Scotland Conference 2010
‘Otherwise Engaged: Know Your KE Landscape’
ISSUES ran an interactive workshop in which delegates explored the ways in which they and others engage and communicate about their work. Putting together information gathered from the research generators (both within the SUE programme and outside) and research users (policy makers and practitioners) this session looked at overlaps, gaps, and the opportunities to improve research reach and impact. |
