Paul Jowitt
Professor
of Civil Engineering Systems at Heriot-Watt University and Director of
the Scottish Institute of Sustainable Technology. Paul Jowitt has over 35 years experience in the development and application of systems-based solutions within civil engineering,
the water industry, environmental management, risk assessment and sustainable development. He also has extensive experience of the development and role of sustainable development
within higher education curricula, business and professional development programmes.
Paul is a non-Executive Director of United Utilities Water, a Past President (2009-2010) of the Institution of Civil Engineers, a former non-Executive Board Member of Scottish Water and a former Regional Board Member of the Scottish Environment Protection Agency. Paul is a member of the Scottish Government's Saltire Marine Energy Prize Challenge Committee. He is Editor of the International Journal Civil Engineering and Environmental Systems.
