ISSUES presents 'Brave New City - Snapshots of the Future' in London
24th March 2010, The Institution of Civil Engineers, London
ISSUES hosts its flagship Brave New City event with the Institution of Civil Engineers at ICE headquarters. This invitation only evening event brings together five speakers using film and news clips from the ITN Source archive to describe their visions of the future.

SUE Research Dialogues Workshop, Lancaster
29th - 30th March 2010
An intensive open workshop for the researchers involved in the various SUE projects, funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), as well as researchers engaged in complementary research, interested industry and other stakeholder representatives. Three invitations for fully-funded places (i.e. covering travel, subsistence and registration) will be issued to each SUE consortium.

AUNTSUE Inclusive Transport Symposium, London
13th January 2010
AUNT-SUE is looking back over its development and piloting of tools and resources to improve accessibility and social inclusion in transport and the related public realm. Over the past seven years, the team has learned some valuable lessons, not only about consulting and engaging key stakeholders, but also about the support that is needed by practitioners who are working to deliver more inclusive journey environments.

Symposium on Applied Soundscapes, Manchester
17th September 2009
The Positive Soundscape Project is hosting a Symposium on Applied Soundscapes at the University of Salford on 17 September 2009. The day is a broad celebration of what's been achieved by three EPSRC-funded initiatives that came out of a sand pit workshop three years ago: the Noise Futures network, Positive Soundscapes and ISRIE (Instrument for Soundscape Recognition, Identification and Evaluation).

SUE 1: SUSCIT Insights from the Citizens Science for Sustainability, London

This is SuScit's end-of-project dissemination event and is titled 'Insights from the Citizens Science for Sustainability Project'. The meeting will: showcase the innovative ¡®bottom-up¡¯ foresight process developed through the SuScit Project; discuss the agenda for urban sustainability research developed through our work; and, explore key insights for research funders, practitioners and policymakers alike.

ISSUES EVENT: SUE Exchange Group Meeting, London

TheSUE Exchange Workshop was held in London at the Institution of Structural Engineers. The day long event was centered around dissemination to practitioners, applying KE models to SUE programmes and networking with other SUE researchers about research work and KE.

This event consistes of a daytime conference and evening debate at the London Transport Museum on Wednesday 6 May 2009. The daytime conference will showcase the findings emerging from FUTURES, while the evening debate is entitled ''Homeworking the end of the line for commuting?" and focuses upon the (changing) nature of working practices.
