The main remit of the ISSUES Project is to facilitate better knowledge and one of the ways the ISSUES Team is doing this is through specialised networking events and high level relationship brokering. This page details events and seminars the ISSUES team are involved with, as well as events hosted by the individual SUE consortia.

2011

IMPACT 360: Success Stories from the Sustainable Urban Environment

10th February 2010, Altitude 360, Millbank Tower, London


IMPACT 360° presents research findings from the EPSRC’s £45m Sustainable Urban Environments (SUE) research programme to stimulate discussion amongst the researchers, decision makers, practitioners and policy makers about urban futures, urban sustainability and pathways to achieving impact.

Taking in the panoramic view from the 29th floor of Millbank Tower in central London, IMPACT 360° will focus on a selection of 360° Impact Success Stories, as told by the SUE researchers themselves, set alongside messages from key figures about the importance of ensuring research impacts in the ‘real world’.

ISSUES presents 'Brave New City - Snapshots of the Future' in London

ISSUES hosts its flagship Brave New City event with the Institution of Civil Engineers at ICE headquarters. This invitation only evening event brings together five speakers using film and news clips from the ITN Source archive to describe their visions of the future.

TheSUE Exchange Workshop was held in London at the Institution of Structural Engineers. The day long event was centered around dissemination to practitioners, applying KE models to SUE programmes and networking with other SUE researchers about research work and KE.

This event aimed to enable SUE researchers to meet each other and discuss approaches to engagement and dissemination for their research work. It was held at the Institution of Civil Engineers in London.
